Why Bible is not Tawraat, Zaboor, & Injeel?
“Verily, those who conceal that which Allah has sent down of the Scripture and purchase a small gain therewith, they eat into their bellies nothing but fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and theirs will be a painful torment. Those are they who purchase error at the price of guidance, and torment at the price of pardon. What boldness [they show] for the Fire!”
The noble Qur’an, Al-Baqarah(2):174-175
“Say: ‘O people of the Book! exceed not in your religion the bounds [of what is proper], trespassing beyond the truth, nor follow the vain desires of people who went astray in times gone by, who misled many, and strayed [themselves] from the straight path.’”
The noble Qur’an, Al-Maida(5):77
THE OBLIGATION OF BELIEVING IN THE MESSAGES
One of the basic principles of faith for Muslims is to believe with strong conviction in the Messages which Allah revealed to His slaves via His Messengers and Prophets, and to believe that they conveyed them to mankind.
“Say ye: "We believe in God, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to God (in Islam)." (2:136)”
“O ye who believe! Believe in God and His Apostle, and the scripture which He hath sent to His Apostle and the scripture which He sent to those before (him).” (4:136)
The nations were destroyed because of their disbelief in the Messages of Allah.
“Do they not travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before them? They were superior to them in strength: they tilled the soil and populated it in greater numbers than these have done: there came to them their apostles with Clear (Signs) (which they rejected to their own destruction): it was not Allah Who wronged them but they wronged their own souls.” 30:9
BELIEF IN ALL THE MESSAGES
“For each period is a Book (revealed).” (13:38)
What Allah revealed to His Messengers may have been revealed from heaven in writing, like the Tawraat (Torah) which was sent down to Prophet Moosa (Moses) or it might have been a written Book in the Heaven, but it was sent down verbally in recited form like the Qur’an.
That which was revealed from heaven may have been compiled in a book like the Scripture of Ibraheem (Abraham) and the Books which were revealed to Moosa, Dawood, ‘Eesa and Muhammad, may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon them all. Or it may but not in the form of a book, like the revelation which came down to Ismaa’eel, Ishaaq, Ya’qoob etc.,
“…Say: ‘I believe in whatsoever Allah has sent down of the Book[all the holy Books, this Qur’an and the Books of the old from the Tawraat (Torah), or the Injeel (Gospel) or the Pages of Ibraheem (Abraham)] and I am commanded to do justice among you… 42:15
We believe in whatever Allah has told us about in detail, we believe in that according to the details which Allah has told us of. We believe that there are other Books and that there are other Revelations which Allah has not told us about.
HOW WE BELIEVE IN THE MESSAGES
We believe in what was said in the previous divinely-revealed messages, and this means that ruling according to it was obligatory upon the nations to whom the Books were sent. We believe that the divinely-revealed Books confirm one another and do not disprove one another. The Injeel confirms the Tawraat.
And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear God. (5:46)
Whosoever denies anything that Allah has revealed is a Kaafir(Disbeliever):
O ye who believe! Believe in God and His Apostle, and the scripture which He hath sent to His Apostle and the scripture which He sent to those before (him). Any who denieth God, His angels, His Books, His Apostles, and the Day of Judgment, hath gone far, far astray. (4:136)
And further Allah says:
To those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance, no opening will there be of the gates of heaven, nor will they enter the garden, until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle: Such is Our reward for those in sin. (7:40)
WHY DON’T MUSLIMS BELIEVE AND FOLLOW THE BIBLE?
The Christians raise the questions that if Muslims believe in all the previous revealed messages than why don’t they follow ‘The Bible’? Which according to Christians consists of Tawraat, Zaboor, and the Injeel?
POSITION OF PREVIOUS MESSAGES
Before analyzing whether the above Christian claim is true, we Muslims believe that each law abrogated the law that came before it, in whole or in part. As the previous messages were connected to a particular time, they were not eternal and would not abide. So Allah did not guarantee to preserve them. The task of preserving them was entrusted to the scholars of the nation to which they were sent.
“…the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of God's book, and they were witnesses thereto:” (5:44)
But the rabbis and priests were unable to preserve their Books. Some of them betrayed the trust by changing, altering and distorting them. So according to Qur’an the previous messages are not preserved moreover, the Religious leaders have failed to preserve the scriptures so the present day scriptures are not the 100% message which Almighty Allah revealed, this is distorted by human hands, the messages have been twisted, altered, added and deleted.
WHAT IS BIBLE?
The word ‘Bible’ comes from the greek word ‘Biblos’ which means book of books or Library of Books. The Holy Bible is encyclopedia of books. The word Bible is not to be found in the Bible itself. And there is no claim in the entire Bible that the Bible is the word of God as Qur’an claims it to be from Allah in various places in the glorious Qur’an. For e.g 55:2, 6:19, 7:203 etc., In other words the Bible is not inspired word of God but of man.
TYPES OF BIBLE
Many common Christians think that there is only one Bible, i.e. all the present Bibles are common, equal but in reality we have different versions of the Bible. The Roman Catholics Bible consists of 73 books (46 books of OT + 27 books of NT) and the Protestants Bible consists of 66 books (39 books of OT + 27 books of NT) and some modern versions like Good News Bible consists of 81 books, some upto 87 books. All Bibles in our possession today (Such as the KJV, the NRSV, the NASV, NIV,...etc.) are the result of extensive cutting and pasting from these various manuscripts with no single one being the definitive reference.
COMPILATION OF THE BIBLE
It is clear from the history that the collection books both Old and New Testament was not compiled during the time of Jesus’s ministry, moreover none of his teachings were recorded during the life time of Jesus. If we were to go to a Western library and look up the history of the Bible as recorded by their own eminent Christian scholars throughout the ages, we would find that they tell us that the books of the “New Testament” in our possession today were not officially approved into the New Testament “canon” of “inspired” books until many centuries after the departure of Jesus. Tens of generations of Christians literally lived and died after the departure of Jesus (pbuh) never having known nor seen such a “New Testament” or “Bible” as the one in our possession today.
After the departure of Jesus (peace be upon him) some apostles and many other people started writing their own Gospels and claiming their work as the true Gospel, there was confusion and dismay amongst the masses. Many innovative teachings were spread, each group was attacking the other. In this time of period the original teachings of Jesus (peace be upon him) was lost and mixed along with the false teachings innovated by the various groups.
“Christianity in the second and third centuries was in a remarkable state of flux. To be sure, at no point in its history has the religion constituted a monolith. But the diverse manifestations of its first three hundred years - whether in terms of social structures, religious practices, or ideologies - have never been replicated. Nowhere is this seen more clearly than in the realm of theology. -The Orthodox Corruption of Scripture, Bart Ehrman, pp. 3-4
The Roman empire was ‘superpower’ at that time, the Roman emperor Constantine was greatly troubled by the swelling ranks of his Christian subjects and the great division among their ranks which did not bode well for the continued stability of his empire.
Most of these fringe sects now began to fade into insignificance and the matter was now left between those who believed in the Unity of God and those who believed in a “Trinity.” The Roman empire’s support fluctuated between these two groups for a long time until the Trinitarian’s finally gained the upper hand and all but wiped the Unitarians off the face of the earth. Over the next centuries they slowly selected and collected the “truly inspired” gospels into one volume which later became the “New Testament.” They burned all other gospels. Many sweeping campaigns if “Inquisition” were launched. Everyone found possessing any of these “false” Gospels was put to death and his Gospel burned. (Apology for Muhammad and the Qur’an, John Davenport).
In the city of Nicea (modern: Iznik, Turkey), in the year 325 AD, a great conference of Christian theologians and religious scholars was convened under the order of the Emperor Constantine to examine and define the status of these countless Christian Gospels. After a thorough investigation it was decided that the Epistle of Jude was genuine and believable. The rest of our current books of the Bible were declared doubtful.
In the year 364 AD, another council was held in Laodicea for the same purpose. This conference of Christian scholars and theologians not only confirmed the decision of the council of Nicea regarding the authenticity of the Epistle of Jude but also declared that the following six books must also be added to the list of genuine and believable books: The Book of Esther, The Epistle Of James, The Second Epistle of Peter, The Second and Third Epistles of John, The Epistle of Paul to the Hebrews. This conference pronounced their decision to the public. The book of Revelations, however, remained out of the list of the acknowledged books in both the councils.
In 397 another great conference was held called the Council of Carthage. Augustine, the celebrated Christian scholar, was among the one hundred and twenty six learned participants. The members of this council confirmed the decisions of the two previous Councils and also added the following books to the list of the divine books: The Book of the Songs of Solomon, The Book of Tobit, The Book of Baruch, Ecclesiasticus, and The First and Second Books of Maccabees.
Three more conferences were held after this in Trullo, Florence and Trent (1545-63). The members of these meetings confirmed the decision of the Council of Carthage. The last two councils, however, wrote the name of the book of Baruch separately.
After these councils nearly all the books which had previously been doubtful among Christians were now included in the list of acknowledged books.
PROTESTANTS
The status of these books remained unchanged until the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century. The Protestants repudiated the decisions of the councils and declared that there are only 66 truly “inspired” books of God, and not 73 as claimed by the Catholics. The following books were to be rejected: The Book of Baruch, The Book of Tobit, The
Letter of Jude, The Songs of Solomon, Ecclesiasticus, and The First and Second Books of Maccabees. They excluded these books from the list of acknowledged books.
The rejected the Church authority and they proclaimed that Church teachings are not mandatory for following Jesus Christ and the Bible is word for word is from God and that is enough for understanding and acting according to the teachings of God.
THE ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPTS
The Biblical world has in its possession a large collection of ancient manuscripts of the Bible. These ancient copies of the Bible were written in different locations around the world and in different ages. We are told that in our current age there are up to 24,000 such ancient copies of the Bible. These are the manuscripts that the scholars go to in order to produce our modern Bibles (such as the KJV, the RSV, the NIV, etc.). In most cases the most ancient copies of the Bible are the ones held in the highest regard and considered to be the most accurate.
All biblical versions of the Bible prior to the revised version of 1881 were dependent upon the “Ancient copies” (those dated at about five to six hundred years after Jesus). The revisers of the Revised Standard Version (RSV) 1952 were the first biblical scholars to have access to the “Most ancient copies” which date roughly four hundred years after Christ. It is only logical for us to concur that the closer a document is to the source the more authentic it is.
The Reformation gave rise to the recognition of the problems these translations could cause, especially since all Protestant doctrine was to be strictly Bible based (Church tradition was rejected). Thus by the 16th Century, Bible scholars began trying to recover the original text. These efforts gave rise to what eventually became the discipline of textual criticism.
Initial efforts began by providing translations directly from the available Hebrew and Greek texts. However, it was recognized early that existing texts in these languages were deficient, and efforts expanded to try and locate ancient texts. Over the years (and especially in the 20th Century) thousands of fragments from the first millennium of the CE have been recovered. A brief review of some of the texts presently available follows below. However, as is often the case with new knowledge, these discoveries have served to complicate the picture and to point out how much we don't know. Some scholars believe that the content of the original autographs will never be known with any degree of certainty
Dead Sea Scrolls (DSS)
This find of hundreds of thousands of scroll fragments provides the earliest witness of Old Testament texts (including Apocrypha and other religious writings). The DSS give evidence of three different but coexisting families of textual tradition: Babylonian, Alexandrian, and Palistinian. The Masoretic Text grew out of the Babylonian family.
Papyri in Greek
The oldest manuscripts of the New Testament that have survived were written on papyrus. Something like 88 different New Testament papyri have been found, and all are quite fragmentary. None of the papyri contain a complete representation of the current New Testament canon. However, some do include apocryphal books.
Parchments in Greek (Uncial)
Altogether 274 uncials have survived, but like the papyri, most are fragments. However there are several manuscripts that represent most of the Bible. A number of textual variations exist between these manuscripts. Not only did scribal errors creep in as generations of these texts were copied, they also represent various revisions of the LXX (revision by Origen ca. 3rd century CE, and later revisions by Lucian of Samosata and Hesychius of Egypt).
4th Century
Codex Vaticanus: Contains both the Old Testament and New Testament, with 759 leaves out of 820 original remaining (617 Old Testament and 142 New Testament). The New Testament text breaks off in the middle of Hebrews 9:14. Also missing are parts of Genesis and Psalms, and all of the books of Maccabees.
Codex Sinaiticus (aleph or 01). Parts of LXX Old Testament text are missing. Also includes the Epistle of Barnabas and the Shepherd of Hermas.
5th Century
Codex Alexandrinus (A or 02). Contains both the Old Testament and New Testament, with 773 leaves out of about 820 original remaining (630 Old Testament and 143 New Testament).
Codex Bezae Cantabrigiensis (D or 05). A Greek-Latin uncial. Contains the Gospels, Acts, and a small fragment from 3 John. In some places its text differs radically from the other uncials (e.g., Acts is 10% longer).
Codex C (or Ephraemi Syri Rescriptus). Recovered from a palimpsest. Remaining today are 64 Old Testament leaves and 145 New Testament leaves. The whole of 2 Thessalonians and 2 John are missing.
Codex Washingtonensis. Contains the four Gospels.
6th Century
Codex Claromontanus
(Dp or 06). An important witness to the Pauline Epistles.
There are also 2795 minuscule manuscripts from the ninth century and later, 2209 lectionaries from the eighth century and later, and other documents such as the countless quotations found in the works of the early Church Fathers that are all used by textual critics in trying to develop an understanding of what the original Greek texts might have said. In addition, something like 10,000 manuscripts of the Latin Vulgate New Testament alone exist (originally translated ca. 400 CE), plus other early translations (by 5th century CE) of the Greek into Old Latin, Coptic, Syriac, Ethiopic, Armenian, Georgian, and Gothic to be considered in this effort.
Parchments in Hebrew
The Dead Sea Scrolls aside, the earliest principal texts available as a witness to the Hebrew Old Testament are much later than available in the Greek. These texts are a product of the Masoretic schools of Babylonia and Tiberias and are from one of two traditions.
But are the “ancient copies” are exact copies of one-another?
Well, where do all of these Bibles come from and why the difficulty in defining what is a truly “inspired” word of God? Well, as we have just seen, they come from the “ancient manuscripts” (also known as “MSS” or “authorities”). The Christian world today is claimed to possess anywhere up to 24,000 “ancient manuscripts” of the Bible with a very few of them dating all the way back to the fourth century after Christ (but not back to Christ or the apostles themselves). In other words, they have with them gospels and epistles which date back to the century when the Trinitarians took over the Christian Church. All manuscripts from before this period have strangely perished. All Bibles in existence today are compiled from these “ancient manuscripts.” However, any reputable scholar of the Bible will tell us that no two ancient manuscripts are exactly identical.
ENGLISH VERSIONS OF THE BIBLE
Believe it or not, there are people who hold beliefs such as the Bible was originally written in English (and typically this is to be found in the King James Version). A summary of the real process whereby we have Bibles in English follows below simply to point out that they exist in great variety (and often with great variations in meaning).
From 650 CE few books of the Bible was been translated from latin, in 735 CE by Bede, 871-889 CE by King Alfred, 955-1020 by Aelfric, in 10th century some books of Bible were translated into many local dialects.
In 14th century John Wycliffe, a theologian who was fired from his post by the church as he criticized the church first translated the Bible from Latin Vulgate into English. In 16th century William Tyndale, another scholar who was sharply critical of the Catholic Church, wrote an English translation of much of the Bible (the New Testament and the Old Testament to 2 Chronicles) before he was executed (1536). Some 90% of his words passed into the King James Version (KJV) and 75% into the Revised Standard Version (RSV).
After the Church of England made its break with the Catholic Church in 1534, Miles Coverdale, who had worked with Tyndale, produced an English version of the Bible, published in 1535. As with all Bibles of the time, this translation still included the Apocrypha; however, it was the first to place these together in a section separated from the rest of the Old Testament, a practice followed in all subsequent Protestant English Bibles.
In 1537 John Rogers, a friend of Tyndale's, published a version of the Bible under the name of Thomas Matthew, In 1539 the first officially commissioned English Bible, the Great Bible, was published. In 1553, many militant Protestants fled to Geneva, where they produced a new translation, the Geneva Bible. As Geneva Bible criticized Pope very much, This new version (1566) was called the Bishop's Bible because all of the translators either were or became Bishops. It was essentially a revision of the Great Bible with some guidance from the Geneva Bible.
In response to Protestant English efforts, exiled English priests developed the Douai-Rheims Bible (New Testament 1582, Old Testament ca. 1602) .The Douai (or Douay) Version was for several centuries the most important Bible for English-speaking Catholics.
The King James Version. After James I succeeded Elizabeth to the throne, work began on what is known as the King James Version (KJV). This new edition was a collaborative work of around 50 scholars that was to be a revision of the Bishop's Bible, changing it only where required by the original Hebrew or Greek. In actuality, the translators made extensive use of the Tyndale and Geneva Bibles and the Rheims New Testament. [As an interesting side note: Although King James I took an active part in organizing and approving the 1611 version of this Bible, he never made it the official Bible of England. Thus the so-called "Authorized Version" was never actually authorized!] Several revisions appeared between its release and the last in 1638.
Modern Editions
English: As English words became archaic or changed their meaning, as advances were made in knowledge of Biblical languages, customs, and history, and with the discovery of many inaccuracies in the Greek and Hebrew texts used for the KJV, there arose a need for further revisions. This led initially to the Revised Version (New Testament 1881, Old Testament 1885, and Apocrypha 1896). The 20th century has followed with an explosion of different English translations. The year 1901 saw the release of the American Standard Version. The following five decades saw the release of the Moffatt's, Knox's, Phillips', and Revised Standard Versions (RSV) of the Bible. Between release of the RSV in 1952 and the year 1990, 27 new translations of the Bible and another 25 translations of the New Testament were published. The New English Bible (1961-1970) was an ecumenical collaboration of scholars from the Anglican, Catholic, and five nonconformist Protestant Churches.
BIBLE A HANDY WORK OF MEN NOT GOD
From the above records we can come to the conclusion that the present day Bible was not inspired by Almighty God nor was instructed by Jesus Christ and moreover not even the disciples of Jesus Christ has compiled it but it’s a handiwork of men many generations after Jesus Christ, which the Christians scholars admit.
Dr. W Graham Scroggie of the Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, a prestigious Christian evangelical mission, says:
“..Yes, the Bible is human, although some out of zeal which is not according to knowledge, have denied this. Those books have passed through the minds of men, are written in the language of men, were penned by the hands of men and bear in their style the characteristics of men....”
“It is Human, Yet Divine,” W Graham Scroggie, p. 17
AUTHORS ARE UNKNOWN
So, who then are the authors of the books of the Bible? Obviously the Church must know them very well since they are popularly believed to have received divine inspiration from God Himself. Actually, they don’t. For example, we will note that every Gospel begins with the introduction “According to.....” such as “The Gospel according to Saint Matthew,” “The Gospel according to Saint Luke,” “The Gospel according to Saint Mark,” “The Gospel according to Saint John.” The obvious conclusion for the average man on the street is that these people are known to be the authors of the books attributed to them. This, however is not the case. Why? Because not one of the vaunted four thousand copies existent carries its author’s signature. It has just been assumed that certain people were the authors. Recent discoveries, however, refute this belief. Even the internal evidence suggests that, for instance, Matthew did not write the Gospel attributed to him:
“...And as Jesus passed forth thence, HE (Jesus) saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and HE (Jesus) saith unto HIM (Matthew), follow ME (Jesus) and HE (Matthew) arose, and followed HIM (Jesus).”
Matthew 9:9
Did “Matthew” write this about himself? Why then didn’t Matthew write for example: “he (Jesus) saw ME, and my name is Matthew. I was sitting at the receipt of custom…” etc.
Such evidence can be found in many places throughout the New Testament. Granted, it may be possible that an author sometimes may write in the third person, still, in light of the rest of the evidence that we shall see throughout this book, there is simply too much evidence against this hypothesis.
This observation is by no means limited to the New Testament. There is even similar evidence that at least parts of Deuteronomy were not written by their claimed author, prophet Moses (pbuh) This can be seen in Deuteronomy 34:5-10 where we read
“So Moses....DIED... and he (God Almighty) BURIED HIM (Moses)... He was 120 years old WHEN HE DIED... and there arose not a prophet SINCE in Israel like unto Moses....”
Did Moses write his own obituary? Similarly, Joshua too speaks in detail about his own death in Joshua 24:29-33.
“And it came to pass after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, DIED, … And they BURIED HIM … And Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that overlived Joshua, and which had known all the works of the Lord, that he had done for Israel ….”
CHRISTIAN SCHOLARS TESTIMONY ABOUT KJV
All biblical versions of the Bible prior to the revised version of 1881 were dependent upon the “Ancient copies” (those dated at about five to six hundred years after Jesus). The revisers of the Revised Standard Version (RSV) 1952 were the first biblical scholars to have access to the “Most ancient copies” which date roughly four hundred years after Christ. Upon discovering these “most” ancient copies of the Bible, what did the scholars of the Bible learn about their “King James Version” (KJV) of the Bible? In the preface of the RSV 1971 we find the following:
“...Yet the King James Version has GRAVE DEFECTS..”
They go on to caution us that:
“...That these defects are SO MANY AND SO SERIOUS as to call for revision”
The New Revised Standard Version of the Bible by Oxford Press has the following to say in its preface:
“Yet the King James Version has serious defects. By the middle of the nineteenth century, the development of biblical studies and the discovery of many biblical manuscripts more ancient than those on which the King James Version was based made it apparent that these defects were so many as to call for revision.”
This research is not done my any Muslim scholars or Hindu scholars but by the Christian scholars of Highest eminence. It is mentioned in the same RSV Bible the publishers themselves (Collins) mention on page 10 of their notes:
“This Bible (RSV) is the product of thirty two scholars assisted by an advisory committee representing fifty cooperating denominations”
Such evidence is part of the large cache which has driven the Biblical scholars to come to the current recognition that most of the books of the Bible were not written by their supposed authors. For example, the authors of the Revised Standard Version of the Bible by Collins honestly say that the author of “Kings” is “Unknown.” But if the author is unknown then why attribute it to God? How can it then be claimed to have been “inspired”? Continuing, we read that the book of Isaiah is “Mainly credited to Isaiah. Parts may have been written by others.” Ecclesiastics: “Author. Doubtful, but commonly assigned to Solomon.” Ruth: “Author. Not definitely known, perhaps Samuel.” and on and on.
THE PURPOSE OF GOD’S REVELATION
Almighty God doesn’t reveal/inspire His messages without purpose but to guide the mankind, to show the path to salvation, to lead mankind a way most profitable otherwise, the whole concept of revelation is defeated. It is mentioned in the Bible, in the book of II Timothy chapter 3 verse 16
16 All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, II Timothy 3:16
All scriptures inspired by God should fulfill the following criteria
1. It should be the doctrine to preach
2. It should criticize the mistakes
3. It should give the correct way
4. It should lead to righteousness
Let us analyze does the biblical teachings fulfill these criteria!
IKINGS 1:1-4
1 Now King David was old and advanced in years; and although they covered him with clothes, he could not get warm. 2 Therefore his servants said to him, "Let a young maiden be sought for my lord the king, and let her wait upon the king, and be his nurse; let her lie in your bosom, that my lord the king may be warm." 3 So they sought for a beautiful maiden throughout all the territory of Israel, and found Ab'ishag the Shu'nammite, and brought her to the king. 4 The maiden was very beautiful; and she became the king's nurse and ministered to him; but the king knew her not. I kings 1:1-4
Does this act befit a mighty Prophet? To relieve oneself from cold is to get a virgin girl to lie with him!!! Is this the doctrine? Is this the reproof? (Did God criticize it) is this the correct way? Or does this lead us to righteousness?
JUDGES 16:1
1 Samson went to Gaza, and there he saw a harlot, and he went in to her. Judges 16:1
What is the message of the above verse? Is this the doctrine? (to have sexual intercourse with a prostitute when you enter a city?), Is this reproof? (God didn’t indicate Samson that he sinned), Is this correction? (God didn’t correct him), Does this lead to righteousness?
DEUTERONOMY 25:11
11 "When men fight with one another, and the wife of the one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of him who is beating him, and puts out her hand and seizes him by the private parts, 12 then you shall cut off her hand; your eye shall have no pity.
Is this the doctrine to chop off the hands of woman who helped her husband? Can this law be followed today? If it is the true commandment of God, it has to be followed without any question, because it becomes the part of worship to follow practice the commandments of Almighty, why don’t the Jews or the Christians practice this? Some might say that now religion and state are been separated, then why don’t His Holiness the Pope implement this law in the Vatican? Don’t the Christians believe in the complete Bible? If they say that they are obliged to follow only Jesus Christ and what he brought than read what Jesus has said in Gospel according to Matthew chapter 5 verse 17-19
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:17-19
Its evident from above verse that without fulfilling the commandments of God, the kingdom of heaven cannot be reached!
INCEST
16 And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me? 17 And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it? 18 And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.
Genesis 38: 16-19
What is the moral of the above story of daughter- in- law entrapping not too innocent father- in- law? Is this Doctrine? Reproof? Correction? Or Teaching into righteousness?
Moreover the illegitimate incestuous children born of Judah has been placed among the genealogy of Jesus Christ!!!
3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Matthew 1:1-3
The same Bible states that any child born in illegitimate manner cannot enter the assembly of God, even for their tenth generation!
"No bastard shall enter the assembly of the LORD; even to the tenth generation none of his descendants shall enter the assembly of the LORD. Deuteronomy 23:2
Than how did incestuous children became the forefathers of Jesus Christ, who is supposed to be the son of God?
The above mentioned lewd story is one of the 10 incestuous stories present in the Holy Bible! Sex between father and his two daughters in Genesis 19:30-36, Son cohabiting with his mother in Genesis 35:22, brother raping his sister 2Samuels 13:5-14, two sisters competing each other in their harlotry in Ezekiel 23:1-35
What is the moral about such stories present in the Holy Bible? Does these stories provide guidance? Or misguidance?
Dr. Vernon Jones, an American psychologist of great repute, carried out experiments on groups of school children of equal age and educational status. Certain stories with particular bias were told to the children. His conclusions were that these stories made, “Certain slight but permanent changes in the character of these children, even in the narrow class room situation”. No wonder why incestuous relations in West have reached epidemic proportions. There is a law at work: Physically you are what you eat and morally and mentally you are what you read! In other words in an American slang: If you eat junk food you body becomes junky, if you read junk stuffs you mind become junky!
BIBLE STORIES CAN BE DANGEROUS
“Reading Bible stories to children can also open up all sorts of opportunities to discuss the morality of sex. An unexpurgated Bible might get an X-rating from some censors”
The PLAIN TRUTH, October 1977
George Bernard Shaw, the great British thinker and playwright, remarked on perusing the Holy bible, that it is “The most dangerous book on earth. Keep it under lock and key: your children must not have access to it. ”
From the above evidences we can come to conclusion that these filthy dirty stuffs cannot be from God!
QUALITIES OF GOD IN THE BIBLE
Barber God!
20 In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard. Isaiah 7:20
God riding on Cherub[young tender angel]

God causes confusion being afraid of men
5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Genesis 11:5-8
God murders 50,070 men ruthlessly just for looking into the box
19 And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter. 1Samuel 6:19

God gets share from war booty
29 Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD. Numbers 31:29
GOD IS NOT TO BE MOCKED!
The above quotations does not befit the qualities of Almighty God, this is clear mockery which we Muslims condemn strongly and no way we can accept such qualities being attributed to God.
“Glory to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne (of Authority)! (He is free) from the things they attribute (to him)!”
The Glorious Qur’an 43:82
O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of God aught but the truth. The Glorious Qur’an 4:171
PROJECTION OF PROPHETS IN THE BIBLE
Prophets but naked and drunk!
Noah: 21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. Genesis 9:21
Isaiah: 3 And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia; Isaiah 20: 3-4

2Samuel 11:4
David dancing naked shamelessly
20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself! 2Samuel 6:20
PERFECT MANNERS AND ATTITUDE OF PROPHETS IN ISLAM
The prophets attained a high level in this regard and deserved to be praised by the Lord of Creation. Allah praised His close Friend Ibraheem (Abraham):
“For Abraham was, without doubt, forbearing (of faults), compassionate, and given to look to God.” (11:75)
Messengers are of noble descent. All the Messengers after Nooh were from among his descendents, and all the Messengers after Ibraheem were from the line of Ibraheem. Allah says: And We sent Noah and Abraham, and established in their line Prophethood and Revelation: 57:26
Noble and perfect manners and attitudes have a great impact in guiding and teaching people. So the Muslims can no way agree, that the beloved Prophets of God would have behaved in such a shameless manner, this is a lie against such noble people.

AL-QUR’AN IS THE CRITERIA
From the above discussed points its crystal clear that the present day Bible cannot be the original Tawraat, Zaboor or Injeel. It is evident that the Bible is the product of human handy work. God’s word doesn’t contain any contradictions
“Do they not consider the Qur'an (with care)? Had it been from other Than God, they would surely have found therein much discrepancy.” (4:82)
Moreover Allah says to use the Glorious Qur’an as criteria to judge the previous scriptures
“To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what God hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee.” 5:48
Conclusion:
“Then woe unto those who write the Scripture with their own hands and then say: ‘This is from Allah,’ to purchase with it a miserable price! Woe unto them for what their hand have written and woe unto them for that which they earn [thereby]! And they said: ‘The fire will not touch us except for a few numbered days.’ Say, ‘Have you taken a covenant with Allah so that Allah will not break His covenant, or is it that you say regarding Allah that which you know not?’ Verily, Whosoever earns evil, and his sin has surrounded him, they are dwellers of the Fire; they will dwell therein forever. And those who believed [in the strict monotheism of God] and did good deeds they are dwellers of the Paradise, they will dwell therein forever.”
The noble Qur’an, Al-Baqarah(2):79-82
“[And remember] When God took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture: You shall make it known and clear to mankind, and you shall not hide it; but they flung it behind their backs, and purchased with it a miserable gain! How evil was that which they purchased!”
The noble Qur’an, A’al-Umran(3):187

11 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
2Samuel 22:11
God the dragon!
9 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. 2Samuel 22:9
God kills woman, infant, suckling and the Donkey!
3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. I Samuel 15:3
David having illicit sexual intercourse
4 And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.

Okay, wow, too lengthy to read all.
The Injeel and the Towrah are in their original forms. The vast archiological and textural criticism have shown that. Thanks for your entry. jpound777@yahoo.com
